高密度焦点式超音波療法による前立腺がん標的局所療法が先進医療B承認！
厚生労働省との3年以上にわたるやり取りの末、“高密度焦点式超音波療法による前立腺がん標的局所療法”が先進医療Bとして承認され、加藤勝信厚労大臣により告知されました。
この治療は、2022年4月に承認されたMRIに基づいた前立腺生検法により、癌が一部に限局した患者さんに対して実施されます。適応となる患者さんの数は、転移のない前立腺癌の患者さんのうち、約20%と考えられ、年間20,000人ほどが想定されています。
施設基準のハードルは高く設定されましたが、これから集積される治療結果が、わが国の前立腺癌治療において、大きな役割を果たすことが期待されています。
