Understanding the World as Perceived by AI: Toward a Future Where Humans and AI Coexist!

「AIが見る世界を理解して、人間とAIが共に生きる未来を実現したい！」にご関心を寄せていただき、ありがとうございます。
先週、研究計画の一つとして挙げていた意識研究の国際会議、Annual Meeting of the Association for the Scientific Study of Consciousness（ASSC）に参加し、ポスター発表を行いました。ASSCは意識研究分野における主要な国際会議の一つで、今回の会議はチリ・サンティアゴで開催されました。

会議期間中は会場の気温がかなり低く、少し体調を崩してしまったのですが、無事に発表を終えることができてほっとしています。
今回私は、AIの時間知覚に関する研究として、私たち人間の知覚に見られる「ポストディクション」に似た現象がLLMにも見られるのかを検討した研究を発表しました。ポストディクションとは、後から提示された刺激が、先に提示された刺激の知覚を変化させるような現象を指します。
当日は、さまざまなバックグラウンドを持つ参加者の方々にポスターを見に来ていただき、ポストディクションの基本的な説明から、実験のセットアップや結果の解釈まで、丁寧に議論することができました。実験の設定にはやや複雑な部分もあったのですが、多くの方にスムーズに理解していただけたことは大きな収穫でした。
また、今回のASSC参加にあたって、ありがたいことにTravel Award（500 USD）をいただくこともできました。今回の発表や議論で得たフィードバックを、今後の研究に活かしていきたいと思います。
