レーザーで空気中のウイルスを検出できるか？

昨年は、当プロジェクトにご支援いただきありがとうございました。
2022年3月にご支援いただいた皆さまへ研究報告レポートをお送りする予定でした。しかし、前回の報告からまだ3ヶ月しか経っておらず、レーザー伝搬コードのチューニングの途中であるため、研究報告レポートのご送付を2022年6月に変更いたします。皆さまにおかれましては、引き続き、当プロジェクトへのご指導、ご鞭撻をよろしくお願いいたします。

Thank you for the support of this project. We were planning on sending a research report to the supporters in March 2022. However, since it has been only three months since the last report and we are still in the process of tuning the laser propagation code, we plan to send the report in June 2022. Your encouragement of this project is greatly appreciated.

ご報告が遅くなりましたが、2021/8/9に高出力レーザーに関するオンラインサイエンスカフェを開催しました。
レーザーが発振する過程、レーザーが超高出力を実現する技術、世界中にある高出力施設、そしてそのレーザーで何ができるかを説明しました。

I appologize for the delay in reporting, however, on 8/9/2021 we had online science cafes about high power lasers.
We described the process of lasing, the technique by which lasers can achieve ultrahigh power, the number of such high power facilities throughout the world, and what can be done with such lasers.

新しいコンピュータが届き、プロジェクトの計算のためのセットアップを始めました。 このコンピュータは、レーザーの伝搬、スペクトル、ディープラーニングの計算を開発・調整するために使用します。皆様の寛大なご支援に改めて感謝いたします。
The new computer arrived, and I have started to set it up for the calculations of the project. This computer will be used to develop and tune the laser propagation, spectra and deep learning calculations. Thank you again for your generous support.

11/21、11/22に高出力レーザーによる空気中のウイルス検出の可能性についてオンラインセミナーを行いました。参加された方からは、シミュレーションの検証や、ウイルス検出以外の応用についても有益なコメントをいただきました。 このフィードバックにより、本研究をさらに進めることができました。
また、シミュレーション計算を行うためのまもなく到着するパソコンを購入し、予め準備していたレーザー伝搬シミュレーションのコードの並列計算チューニングを行います。さらに、今回のオンラインセミナーでコメントいただいたプログラミング言語のPythonを新たに習得して、今回のディープラーニングに取り入れたいと思います。(11/30)

Thank you very much for your kind support of this project.
On 11/21/2021and 11/22/2021 we had online seminars about the possibility for virus detection in air using high power lasers. There were useful comments concerning simulation verification and applications in addition to virus detection from those who attended. This feedback helped to further advance this research. Also, I bought a computer which will soon arrive and started tuning of the laser propagation simulation code for parallel computation. In addition, I would like to start studying the programming language Python which was recommended from a participant in the online seminar. Python is utilized for deep learning. (11/30)
