Professor Kasumi Susaki has made a very important contribution to the research on gender and planning that we are doing with Diver s City Urblab at University of Sassari. Susaki careful analysis and dedication to research is allowing us to focus on different areas of interest and comparison between Italy and Japan. These results will allow us to address the issue of inclusive cities and planning that also relate to the role and gender of planners. Which is not only an issue of access to planning but also of access to education and the profession.
The results of this research will be very important both for the scientific community of women planners in Italy and for women in Japan.

Professor Kasumi Susaki's scientific background she brought to the research contributed substantially to the working group, her ability to deal with very heterogeneous environments also enabled the scientific and intellectual growth of the junior components. In research, the ability to compare is crucial as is the ability to transfer knowledge, this is the reason among others why I hope to have the opportunity to work with Professor Kasumi Susaki even after the closure of the current research.
