ARICA-2 いよいよ打ち上げです!
大変、ご無沙汰しております。青山学院大学の坂本です。
皆さんにご支援頂いた、2021年11月9日に打ち上がった ARICA から約4年半が経ちました。打ち上げられた ARICA とは通信が確立できず、再挑戦ミッションという位置づけで 2022年度から開発がスタートした ARICA-2 ですが、いよいよ打ち上げが近づいてきました。ARICA-2 を搭載した Rocket Lab社のロケット Electron は 2026年4月23日(木) 12:09 (日本時間、24時間表記) にニュージーランドから打ち上げられます。
ARICA-2 は、ARICA 同様に民間衛星通信を利用したガンマ線バーストを始めとする突発天体の速報システムを実証する事を主目的に、大きさも 20 cm x 10 cm x 10 cm にサイズアップし、姿勢制御系やアマチュア無線帯での通信もできるようにしました。ガンマ線検出器も搭載しています。
再挑戦ミッションとは言え、ARICA の時の反省を踏まえ、いろいろとアップデートした部分があり、その開発は決して順調とは言えませんでしたが、ARICA 同様、様々な方々のご協力のお陰で何とかここまでたどり着く事ができました。academist でご支援いただいた資金は、ARICA-2 の開発で役立たせていただきました。本当にありがとうございました。
