ADMEを予測すること
吸収（absorption）、分布（distribution）、代謝（metabolism）、排泄（excretion）それぞれの頭文字をとって、ADME と言います。
せっかく、効果の強い化合物をつくっても、体内で分解されたり、尿と一緒に排泄されたりしては、効目が無くなってしまいます。 私たちは、まずは、効果の向上を考えて化合物を作っていきますが、研究が進んでいくと、ADMEを考慮していかなければなりません。 StarDropというADME予測ソフトを使用して、ある程度の予測を立てて、化合物をデザインしています。まだ、この段階だとなんとかやれますが、実際の動物を使った実験領域になると、アカデミアだけでは不可能です。製薬企業の力が不可欠です。
