Mechanism

Researchers set a target amount and support recruitment period for specific purposes, and raise research funds and research activity expenses. It is an All or Nothing method where support funds are received only if the target amount is achieved.

Achievement Rewards

We receive 17% of the achieved amount as an achievement reward. Additionally, a separate settlement fee of 3% is incurred. The project listing fee is free.

Eligibility and Evaluation Criteria

We welcome applications from a wide range of academic fields, boasting achievements in various fields from humanities and social sciences to engineering and medical sciences.

For undergraduate/graduate students without experience in thesis writing, permission from their supervisor is required. Please feel free to contact us if you are unsure.

We may decide not to publish a project after comprehensive internal assessment.

We will conduct promotion activities towards achieving the target amount through weekly meetings and communication via Slack with our staff, ensuring appropriate communication for goal achievement.

Support funds are transferred at the beginning of the second month. We ask for monthly updates on activities for supporters.

No, they are not limited. Activity reports can include research content as well as participation in conferences/events, recent papers/books read, and various other activities.

Updating at least once a month is mandatory (failure to update may result in project termination). Challengers have varying update frequencies, such as weekly or sporadic updates. Update at your own pace.

About Support Funds
A

Support funds are typically transferred to the challenger's personal account. However, transfers to affiliated institutions are possible, so please inquire.

As long as it's a usage that supporters can agree with, there are no restrictions. We encourage reporting on usage through activity reports.

Support funds transferred to personal accounts are treated as miscellaneous income. Depending on the case, you may need to file a tax return.
