水銀へ中性子を当てると、面白いことに金だけでなくタリウムもおまけで出てきそうです。水銀との価格比は金が約1000倍、タリウムが約100倍です。原子炉での水銀照射実験が実現したら、金だけでなくタリウムの生成量分析も行いたいと考えています。
